Praticamente todo mundo que gosta de rock encara os Bunnymen como uma divindade. Live in Liverpool \u00e9 o segundo ao vivo oficial dos homens coelho, e quem acompanha os caras sabe que a voz de Ian McCulloch j\u00e1 foi pras cucuias h\u00e1 muito tempo, culpa dos excessos com drogas e \u00e1lcool. Mesmo com o vocal perceptivelmente for\u00e7ado, a voz de Ian permanece mais bela e tocante que 90% dos vocalistas atuais. E o repert\u00f3rio \u00e9 aquilo: cl\u00e1ssico sobre cl\u00e1ssico. Abre com Rescue (que desde sempre tem aberto os shows dos Bunnymen), emenda Lips Like Sugar, permite concess\u00f5es para algumas can\u00e7\u00f5es do \u00faltimo \u00e1lbum Flowers, resgata My Kingdom, arrepia em The Killing Moon e baixa as cortinas com Ocean Rain. E &#8220;Heathen Chemistry&#8221; prova que o tempo n\u00e3o passa. Todo <strong>mundo<\/strong> saiu com mil teorias, mil e uma analises e mil e duas quest\u00f5es, mas o \u00e1lbum \u00e9 o bom e velho Oasis, para o bem e para o mal. &#8220;The Hindu Times&#8221; \u00e9 o single arrasa quarteir\u00e3o, com vocal melodioso no refr\u00e3o. &#8220;Stop Cryng Your Heart Out&#8221; \u00e9 a balada inspirada da vez. Noel canta a normalzinha &#8220;Force Of Nature&#8221;, clima blues com sampler de &#8220;Nightclubbing&#8221; do Iggy Pop, a baladinha happy ac\u00fastico tola &#8220;She Is Love&#8221; e a bacana &#8220;Little by Little&#8221;, clima b-side inspirado. Liam escreve, canta e tenta parecer Lennon na bacana beatle &#8220;Songbird&#8221; al\u00e9m de outras tr\u00eas, mais medianas. No geral, soa aqui e ali como um \u00e1lbum demo, inacabado, preguicoso, mas que vai satisfazer aos velhos f\u00e3s e n\u00e3o conquistar novos. Sinais dos tempos: nos dois primeiros discos todo mundo dizia que eles pareciam Beatles e Stones. Agora eles parecem&#8230; Oasis. Lan\u00e7ado em mar\u00e7o de 2001 na parte de cima do Equador, &#8220;BRMC&#8221;, a estr\u00e9ia desse trio norte-americano, n\u00e3o tem previs\u00e3o de ser lan\u00e7ado no Brasil. \u00c9 uma pena. A equa\u00e7\u00e3o inicial ainda conta com letras depressivas que remetem a Ian Curtis, poeta suicida do Joy Division. N\u00e3o chegam ao fundo do po\u00e7o joydivisiano, mas ficam por ali, lamentando o amor que queima por dentro (a excelente dobradinha de abertura, &#8220;Love Burns&#8221;\/&#8221;Red Eyes and Tears&#8221;), a venda da alma para o sucesso f\u00e1cil (&#8220;I fell in love with the sweet sensation\/ I gave my heart to a simple chord\/ I gave my soul to a new religion\/ Whatever happened to you?&#8221; canta Peter na sensacional porrada &#8220;Whatever happened to my rock&#8217;n&#8217;roll?&#8221;, que tem o carinhoso subt\u00edtulo de \u201cPunk Song\u201d) at\u00e9 um lamento religioso que desafia Jesus a voltar a Terra (&#8220;Jesus seemed to steal my soul\/ He\u2019ll never let me go\/ Jesus when you go will you come back home&#8221; cobra a usina de guitarras &#8220;White Palms&#8221;).
