\nNos anos 90, Greg Dulli misturava soul, rock e sexo no Afghan Whigs, e desde 2000 ele conduz o Twilight Singers pelo purgat\u00f3rio rock. Neste show ele traz Mark Lanegan que canta (entre outras) “Where Did You Sleep Last Night?”, de Leadbelly, gravada em sua estr\u00e9ia com o Nirvana de suporte. Dulli, por sua vez, hipnotiza num medley que transforma “Lovestoned” em “The Killer” e depois em “Wolf Like Me”. Dulli berra a can\u00e7\u00e3o do TV On The Radio sobre um backing suave at\u00e9 ficar sem voz. De arrepiar.<\/p>\n

\nEm agosto, com o (mediano) \u00e1lbum “Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace” (lan\u00e7ado oficialmente 25\/09) vazado na web, Dave Ghrol levou o Foo Fighters para um show em Brighton, retransmitido pela Radio 1. O repert\u00f3rio abre com duas boas porradas novas – “The Pretender” e “Cheer Up, Boys (Your Make-Up Is Running)” – traz v\u00e1rios sucessos (“My Hero”, “Everlong”, “Monkey Wrench”, “All My Life”) e surpreende com uma vers\u00e3o country de “Keep The Car Running”, do Arcade Fire. Ao vivo eles ainda d\u00e3o um caldo.<\/p>\n

\nO White Stripes foi aos est\u00fadios da BBC Radio 1 no Maida Vale em 13 de junho para tocar uma pesad\u00edssima “Icky Thump” e uma acelerada “Hotel Yorba” no talk-show de Jo Whiley e fazer um show completinho e barulhento para o Zane Lowe destacando tr\u00eas faixas novas (incluindo o \u00f3timo country “Effect and Cause”) e hits (“Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground”, “The Denial Twist”, “You’re Pretty Good Looking”). O final com “I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself” e “Seven Nation Army” \u00e9 de dar \u00e1gua na boca.<\/p>\n
