“Pero me pierdo si no estás”

April 17th, 2008

“Odio el Amor”, Rubin

Odio el amor
La primavera y el sol
La luna y todo lo demás

Odio el calor
Y las canciones de Paul
Ir de la mano junto al mar

Pero si estás
No tengo tiempo de más
Para perder en soledad

No es tan difícil dejarme llevar
Pero me pierdo si no estás

Odio el ayer
Y lo que vino después
Que no me deja respirar

Odio a mis ex
Y a cada amor de mis ex
Ir a tu casa y esperar

Pero si estás
Todo parece cambiar
Y el viento deja de soplar.
No es tan difícil dejarme llevar
Pero me pierdo si no estás.

Ella pasó, vino y se fue
¿qué debo hacer
Para que quiera volver?

Pero si estás
No tengo tiempo de más

Para perder en soledad
No es tan difícil dejarme llevar
Pero me pierdo si no estás
(siempre) me pierdo si no estás

“She was born in spring, but…”

“Simple Twist of Fate” com Jeff Tweedy
Música: Bob Dylan

They sat together in the park
As the evening sky grew dark.
She looked at him and he felt a spark
Tingle to his bones.
It was then he felt alone
And wished that he’d gone straight
And watched out for a simple twist of fate.

They walked alone by the old canal.
A little confused, I remember well,
And stopped into a strange hotel with a neon burning bright.
He felt the heat of the night hit him like a freight train
Moving with a simple twist of fate.

A saxophone someplace far off played
As she was walking on by the arcade
As the light bust through a beat up shade
Where he was waking up.
She dropped a coin into the cup of a blind man at the gate
And forgot about a simple twist of fate.

He woke up; the room was bare.
He didn’t see her anywhere.
He told himself he didn’t care ;pushed the window open wide;
Felt an emptiness inside to which he just could not relate
Brought on by a simple twist of fate.

He hears the ticking of the clocks
And walks along with a parrot that talks.
Hunts her down by the waterfront docks
Where the sailers all come in.
Maybe she’ll pick him out again. How long must he wait
One more time for a simple twist of fate.

People tell me it’s a sin
To know and feel too much within.
I still believe she was my twin, but I lost the ring.
She was born in spring, but I was born too late.
Blame it on a simple twist of fate.

Chazinhos não acalmam

“Igual”, os Gianoukas Papoulas

Música: Miranda/Rocha

Os erros não ensinam
Vitórias não empolgam
Pancadas não consertam
Afagos não consolam

Eu sei eu já tentei
e continuo igual
O mesmo coração
A mesma digital

As drogas não ajudam
Venenos não dissolvem
Chazinhos não acalmam
Remédios não resolvem

Eu sei eu já tentei
e nada em mim mudou
A mesma timidez
gritando quem eu sou

Os livros não explicam
Exemplos não envolvem
Conselhos não adiantam
Palavras não comovem

Eu sei eu já tentei
e agora tanto faz
Quando eu envelhecer eu vou ser uma criança
que já viveu demais

Come, let me sing into your ear

January 24th, 2008

“Those Dancing Days Are Gone”, de Carla Bruni
Poem: William Butler Yeats - Music: Carla Bruni

Featuring Lou Reed version

Come, let me sing into your ear;
Those dancing days are gone,
All that silk and satin gear;
Crouch upon a stone,
Wrapping that foul body up
In as foul a rag:
I carry the sun in a golden cup.
The moon in a silver bag.

Curse as you may I sing it through;
What matter if the knave
That the most could pleasure you,
The children that he gave,
Are somewhere sleeping like a top
Under a marble flag?
I carry the sun in a golden cup.
The moon in a silver bag.

I thought it out this very day.
Noon upon the clock,
A man may put pretence away
Who leans upon a stick,
May sing, and sing until he drop,
Whether to maid or hag:
I carry the sun in a golden cup,
The moon in a silver bag.
